excreta
(defecated to WeavingSteam)

eat to shit
shit to eat

twist to unwind
everything one says
can be left
waiting for breath
while on the toilet seat
we exhale
in order to inhale
in the hall
and there
we understand that the tall
trees fall
with a crash

big turds have a larger splash
gasping for breath
we realize the truth

that stinky state secrets
are buried deep

and the greatest plumbers
do their jobs while you sleep

Let us find the shades of grey and allow the light to shine today!

What can this teach us?

Each action is predicated on a previous action, often within a cycle. Litzpitz movement work for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Laban's language of dance make extensive use of the understanding that movement incorporates opening versus closing and shrinking versus expanding. Cellular respiration requires a balance and exchange of Sodium and Potassium and breathing requires us to exhale for us to be able to inhale or vice versa. For certain action to occur, we need previous actions to condition a situation. Cause and effect is essential to all life. Because of this, it is important for us to look past the surface to the deeper and more important causes. Through doing this our actions will be informed by a loving understanding. As we pick up the lens of history, we see that past empires have often made extensive use of secret police and also of subtle diplomacy. There is a balance that must be found in the use of power. It may often be expedient to act unseen while moving to protect a socioeconomic system, yet we must always remember Ben Franklin's admonition: "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
