Tao # 50 / Actuaries
Ф
People are born, they live, then die
this is 1 of the noble truths of life
3 out of 10 will do this, 7 out of 10 will do that
some will move slow, others will move fast
some embrace life, others avoid death
some speak out, others hold their breath
Some want to guide their lives by the stars
but the master places his faith in the Way
while the former worry about the effects of Mars
the master uses 5 steps when he prays
the master knows he is one with Spirit
he is aware and lives within DivineUnity
what does the master have to fear
happily he goes on his way
those who choose certain numbers
to guide their fate
choose “good” numbers like 7 or 8
avoiding others that make them afraid
13 is 1 which brings up mixed feelings
some say watch out for Friday the 13th
others say “my lucky number is 13.”
whereas those within DivineUnity
are unafraid of these things
they do not fear the tigers or sharks
unafraid of rhinos or the dark
There is no opening
for teeth to penetrate
no place for fate
no chink to let in a blade
like a stonewall in battle
they are unafraid of bullets
or of the “bad deal”
they have no Achilles heel
